Relays
This year, the Western Metro Region Relay Carnival will take place on Saturday, November 18 and the State Relay Championships, for those who qualify, will be held on Saturday, December 16. All registered athletes aged Under 9 upwards are invited to enter a relay team. Relays provide an opportunity for our athletes to to learn relay racing techniques and represent our Centre in a fun team-based competition.
The Relay events include girls, boys and mixed teams in the following events:
4x 100m, 4x 200m, Medley (which consists of the following legs - 1x 100m, 1x 200m, 1x300m, 1x 400m).
While the Centre will allocate and enter teams, parent volunteers are required to help manage and coach teams.
